What We Do…

As a company, we focus strictly on providing training in “Information Security Penetration Testing” for both engineers and managers alike. Based on years of experience, the staff at Heorot.net uses real-world knowledge to provide training that can be applied toward day-to-day operations upon completion of the courses. Besides teaching the methodologies, we include valuable, hands-on techniques that are current to today’s Enterprise-level threats.

How We Do It…

We provide online, on-site, and regional training in a variety of formats. For those interested in learning the fundamentals, we offer both free and on-line courses. For those who prefer to contract with us for group training, we have on-site training covering a variety of topics. And for those who want to improve their skills in a more structured learning environment, we have regional training that covers some of the more advanced topics in penetration testing.

For those who want to learn on-line, we have structured our classes to include a penetration test based on real-world security situations using our Open Source project’s PenTest LiveCDs. These LiveCDs provide an opportunity to practice against a real server in a safe environment - a virtual lab - and in the comfort of your own home. We also provide advance technique training, which includes state-of-the-art equipment used in real-world enterprises, so that when you finish the course you can use your new skills immediately.
